Hamburger Morgenpost

Hamburg News – digitally optimised.

As one of the most widely read daily newspapers in Hamburg, it was already convincing offline with its handy tabloid format and was one of the pioneers in the Hamburg media market to present content in a clear way, always emphasising its strong roots in the Hanseatic city. The digital formats of the Hamburger Morgenpost also offer regional and national news around the clock.

Studio Oeding’s task was to present the media house’s digital information via APP and website with zeitgeist, based on the latest findings in viewing and usage behaviour, in a newly designed interface design. The design combines the optimisation of the interfaces without reducing the news value with well-known and characteristic design features of MOPO. The design elements such as colour code, iconography, banner, ticker, text-image, texts have been revised in a contemporary way, making the overall appearance more concise, clear and distinctive. The new design provides users and subscribers with improved usability and clarity of the rich content in a contemporary design.
